I was talking to my friend last week, and he told me about a problem that had him stressed out, frustrated and a little depressed: his laptop crashed and died.
Now, this friend of mine is a photographer who just started his business about a year ago. That laptop contained all of his photography work as well as photos of his family and important business documents.
In the blink of an eye, everything he worked hard for was gone.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t want that to happen to me. I may not have my entire business on laptop, but I certainly wouldn’t want to lose all of my photos and memories.
And I know that it’s been drilled into our heads that we should be backing up our files and photos, but how often do we really follow this rule?
My friend’s story changed my mind about that. I was determined to find a quick and easy way to back-up all of my precious documents.
That’s when I found InfinitiKloud – a pocket-sized wireless hard drive that stores everything on your computer.
You might remember my review of PhotoStick, which is a similar device. InfinitiKloud transfers files faster and wirelessly, although many of the features are the same.
I bet you have a USB drive somewhere in your home. These handy devices are ultra-portable, and they’re easy to use. InfinitiKloud is not your regular USB, this flash drive is a revolutionary one-click backup and storage technology. It transfers your files wirelessly and it has far more space for all of your photos and files. It will protect your files from corruption, viruses and hard drive failures. It’s a wireless flash drive, so there’s nothing to install. In fact, the device has built-in software. There’s nothing to download, install or log into.
But here’s the really cool thing about InfinitiKloud: it finds all of your files automatically. You don’t have to dig through all of the files on your computer to find the ones you want to back up. InfinitiKloud will find the files for you.
If you’re worried about compatibility, don’t be. InfinitiKloud wireless flash drive works on any computer – or smartphone – whether you have a Mac, PC, Android or iOS. If you have a Chromebook or something like that, InfinitiKloud may not work (I haven’t tested it). Also, for your convenience and if you prefer to use it wired, it comes with a Type-C to Type-C cable which enables to transfer files at a speed of USB 3 at 10 Gbps.
Android users can benefit from this because most new phones will have a USB-C charging port built in. This allows you to transfer your favorite images and safely store information from your phone. Now, I want to share with you some technical specs so that you can understand just how well InfinitiKloud works for backups:
Remember how I told you that this device can find all of your files automatically? Well, I want to make it clear that you don’t have to back-up everything on your computer. You have the option of saving only the file types and formats that you want. This gives you more control over your back-ups.
So many people have been talking about a so-called “InfinitiKloud scam,” and it’s because this device is so easy to use, so they assume it can’t be real. Yes, InfinitiKloud works, and yes, you can back-up your files in just three steps.
Let me explain just how easy it is to use this device.
Turn on the device by pressing and holding the power button for 3 seconds.
Customize your backup and backup location
Click the red Start button and you’re ready to go!
It really is that easy to back-up all of your photos and documents. Now, with a name like InfinitiKloud, you may be wondering whether all of your files will be sent to the cloud. The answer is: no. It’s just a clever name for this back-up device. But all of your files will be kept on the USB device where you can access it anytime – even if you don’t have an Internet connection. I’d recommend pairing this with the XY Find It, so you never lose track of your files.
Why buy InfinitiKloud? That’s the first question most people ask when they look at this device. Can’t you just buy a regular USB hard drive and call it a day?
Technically, you could. But InfinitiKloud is wireless and designed for back-ups. It also comes with pre-installed software that automatically finds all of the files on your computer or smartphone for you. This saves you so much time. Instead of spending hours going through all of your files and deciding which ones to transfer, you can use the software program to look at all of your files at a glance. You can even choose which types of files you want to transfer.
The main benefit of InfinitiKloud is being able to protect your files – photos, documents and years of your digital life and doing it wirelessly! Time-savings and mobility are other major benefits of this device. You won’t have to rummage through all of your files by hand. I don’t know about you, but I don’t have that much time to spend backing up my files. I’d much rather be spending time with my family. And let’s face it – you’re not going to back-up all of your files if it takes forever to do it. Otherwise, you’d be doing it already. InfinitiKloud just makes it easier to get everything you want to protect onto the device for safe-keeping.
The only real complaint I have about this device lies with its main benefit. To use it, you must connect it to a power source. It takes about 1.5 hours for a full charge. But once fully charged, you’ll be able to use it continuously enough to transfer all your files. Still, this isn’t enough to prevent me from highly recommending it to anyone else who’s looking to safely store important files. And if you’re like my photographer friend, you will be pleased to know you can even upgrade your order to the InfinitiKloud 128 for double the storage once you’ve placed your order.
Overall, I give the InfinitiKloud a 95% rating. It’s super easy to use, it transfers your files quickly, and you can use it on just about any computer. But right now, you can get a 50% discount on InfinitiKloud when you buy three devices, so you can buy more than one stick to meet your storage needs. Don’t forget that you get a FREE USB-C adapter with each stick that you buy.
